Superfood Smoothies for our Kids!

With such an array of amazing seasonal fruit and vegetables on offer at the moment, we love to experiment with smoothie recipes. You will love Kat's superfood smoothie - it’s a great way to sneak in those additional vitamins and nutrients to help support your immune system.

Blackberries are literally everywhere right now and are the perfect addition to smoothies for natural sweetness and they are packed full of goodness. Kat has cracked how to disguise the vegetables, such as broccoli, kale and spinach, that our children would normally decline to eat. HURRAH!

This is a great pre-school option packed full of super vitamins and you will feel proud knowing you have given them the best start to their school day.


  • 5 Strawberries

  • 1 banana

  • Handful of blackberries

  • Handful of spinach or handful of blanched kale

  • A quarter of a lime

  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup

  • Teaspoon of eskimo 3 omega oil (excellent for teeth and bones)

  • For the juice, use either coconut water or organic orange juice.

  • 1/2 tsp of super green tropical powder

Method: Blend together in a nutri-bullet or similar.

Feel free to play with the smoothie by adding different ingredients - whatever you are willing to try! Adding half a spoon of superfood green powder gives a sherbet taste which kids particularly seem to love!
