Hate your job? You are not alone

According to a report, 72% of millennials want a career change! Is this because we have so much choice now. Are side hustles becoming full-time career options? Who knows but access before you make any rash decisions.

Before you start typing out your resignation letter, check in with the list below. What we do not want is you leaving yourself high and dry. We want you to excel and be sure of what it is you want in your life right now.

Write down what you dislike about your job. Next, write about how you came to do your job. Do you like your work environment and the people? Do you get on with your boss? If not, why not? According to research, 44% of people leave because they think they have a terrible boss.

Mind work

Time to ask yourself if you could try any career, what would you do? What job would you enjoy doing day in and day out? Do you want to manage a team? What do you enjoy doing at work? Do you want freedom at work? And how can this change without leaving this job?

Be clear and authentic.

What responsibility do you want? Do you want to be recognised for your success? Do you want to leave your company or work in another department? Why? What are your top skills? What does the perfect work environment look like for you? Do you want to travel? What can you do to make a difference? Are you better working at home?

Explore options

List your options. Why you could continue in your current role? What would make it better? Can you afford to take time off to think? Consider doing what will make you happy. Be honest about what you are not doing at work and what you could be doing.
