Eggy Bread


This beautiful Eggy Bread brings back fond, childhood memories.


  • 2 slices of a good quality bread

  • 2 eggs

  • A little oil for frying (coconut, rapeseed, avocado)



  • Maple syrup

  • Bacon slices

  • Good quality brown or tomato sauce

  • Baked beans - good quality 

  • Just on its own!


  • Beat the eggs in a shallow bowl and season with salt and pepper

  • Place a large frying pan on a medium heat and add a little oil, enough to cover the base of the pan

  • Once the oil starts to run and shimmer, dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture and then place it in the pan. If there is space in the pan, repeat with the second slice

  • Cook on each side for three to five minutes or until golden brown

  • Serve warm with one of the toppings above or dream up your own, health concoction
