Carrot & Raisin Bircher Muesli


Let the fridge do all of the work in this quick, easy and highly nutritious recipe.


  • 100g fine oats

  • 30g oat bran

  • 1 carrot scrubbed and grated

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/3 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 20g raisins

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp raw honey

  • 2 tbsp coconut flakes

  • 300ml almond milk 

  • Greek yogurt and seeds to serve


  • Place all of the dry ingredients in a bowl and pour over the almond milk

  • Mix the ingredients together, then cover and place in the fridge overnight

  • In the morning you should have a creamy bowl of bircher muesli ready for your breakfast

  • Serve with a dollop of greek yogurt and a sprinkle of seeds

  • If you fancy adding a little something sweet, swirl over some maple syrup or honey


  • Grate an apple into the bircher mix

  • Add chopped nuts through the mixture or sprinkle on top

  • This recipe works so well with the seasons. Make the most of soft fruits through the summer and autumn, and compotes through the winter
